Pistol Pete & Enzo, Return Stronger Than Ever With New Single ‘The Top’

Biordi Music is proud to present Pistol Pete & Enzo’s first new release under their label ‘The Top’. The new single, which goes by the same title – ‘The Top’ – is out now and is the beginning of a new journey for the Australian rap duo, who have returned harder and stronger than ever.

Pistol Pete & Enzo are well known within the industry for their raw and lyrical bars and ‘The Top’ remains true to their style while also showcasing a more diversified version of themselves. Through the new single it is evident that one of their greatest strengths in the Rap Game is the use of word play.

From one-liner puns such as “Put ‘em on the board cause they’re never gonna notice (know this)” to references from renown Disney movies, “if they’re lying (lion) about the king then they can get scarred,” the duo have no trouble piecing together sophisticated and unique lyrics. ‘The Top’ delivers a strong message of resilience and perseverance, an insight to their life and come-up as they make a significant return to the scene.

Pistol Pete & Enzo say, “’The Top’ is a track that showcases our versatilities in the current Australian rap game. Being in this game for some time now we’ve copped lot of love but also a lot of hate. In this track we are stating that ‘The Top’ is where we are heading regardless. This track is uplifting and has a feel-good vibe, but at the same time we stay true to our ways and we still talk our talk. ‘The Top’ is just the start of our new journey and in due time we will be there!”

‘The Top’ is released through Biordi Music, written by Pistol Pete & Enzo and produced by RELYT. Listen HERE

We Catch Up On Alerts Latest Track “Southside” feat. Purpose (Prod. Suffa)

New Alerts x Greeley of THCtv film clip coming soon

Adelaide emcee Alerts has dropped his new single “Southside” via YouTube tonight featuring Purpose, produced by Suffa of the Hilltop Hoods, mixed by Simplex and featuring cuts by DJ Sanchez. The three-minute offering from the pair gives a full 360-degree insight into growing up in the Southern Suburbs of Adelaide, affectionately known by many as the Southside.

Per capita, the Southside of ADL has arguably produced more nationally prominent rappers than anywhere in Australia with the likes of Hilltop Hoods, Delta, The Funkoars, Terra Firma, Prime, Prime, K21, After Hours and Train Of Thought all coming from the South and this track continues the legacy of quality – check below.

Alerts first came to national attention on Simplex’s debut Obese Records solo album “Audio Biography” through the standout posse cut track Opus Operandi along with Australian legends Delta of Nuffsaid Records and the ever-talented Motions. His memorable show stopping live performance accompanying this song at Home Grown for Da Klinic’s 10 th birthday bash in July 2011 at the now defunct HQ Complex main room really put him on notice. The track earned a place in esteemed Sydney DJ’s Shan Frenzie’s memorable Show & Prove mixtape showcasing the best hip hop released that year across the country along with the likes of Trem, Bias B, Drapht, Mantra plus more.

Alerts would go on to collaborate significantly with Kimence, as well as with a careful selection of Adelaide best including Mnops, Social Change, DJ Dyems and most recently Conseps. It is his stand- alone music however which has really established himself in his own right and led to support slots with the likes of Royce Da 5’9, Ras Kass, Kerser, Kings Konekted, Tech N9ne, Raekwon & Slick Rick, Skrub, Complete, Wombat, Rates, Delta, Cormega, Spice 1 and Fat Joe since 2015 leading him to headline his own gigs. Having performed all up and down Adelaide, Melbourne and Tasmania, Alerts has built a reputation for himself somewhat the old-fashioned way as a writer and performer from the ground up with a swell of support.

Back in late March 2018 almost two years ago to the day, Alerts dropped his impressive debut “The Prisoner” track produced by Simplex of Terra Firma. With the captivating visuals to the song executed by Josh Davis & Heath Kerr (Heata) of 1984 Films, the 4:20 minute offering has been played over 42,000 times on YouTube alone – a strong effort for his first independently released, unfiltered track.

Following a busy period of extensive performances across the country, the in-demand follow up was the three and a half minute “Get It” single released in June 2019, again produced by Simplex. The continuity in production work of the pairing of Alerts and Simplex sounds and feels like a natural fit and served as popular follow up to the breakthrough The Prisoner track. The music video is again Executed by Josh Davis and Heath Kerr of 1984 Films, really showcasing their diverse talents behind the lens. Get It also spawned a recent remix by Simplex, providing a fresh take on a heartfelt track.

Stay tuned – more Alerts music on the way soon, from the Southside to nation wide.

That Kid Kearve Continues His Meteoric Rise With New Track ‘This N That’

New 5 Track EP Coming Soon!

Sydney rapper That Kid Kearve, has recently released his brand new track ‘This N That’. It’s already racked up an impressive 120,000 views on YouTube in just under a week. Having no label support, and no features, Kearve be on the rise.

Produced by B Hill Beats, This N That is an absolute cruncher. It’s not only our release of the month but it’s also one of our favourite tracks from Kearves already extensive catalogue. The young West Sydney Rapper seems to be hitting new heights on each and every release, building a strong momentum for his EP which drops on all platforms on June 28.

This N That is the title track taken from the new EP. With no features, it’ll be 5 solo tracks of that straight fire. Producers on the project include Chief Wiggin Beats, the aforementioned B Hill Beats, Ozo, and Broke Boys. The EP is set to shake things up in the local scene.

Listeners seem to be rejecting the manufactured label approach to Hip Hop, especially at a local level. Some labels seem to be trying to tick a number of boxes for who they sign, that has no relation to the actual music. Fuck a label!

Check out the clip for This N That above featuring the handy work of West End Media.

DyspOra drops new video for ‘Australien’

The sonic activism in DyspOra’s music is clear, “there’s no prize at the end of the Human Race.”

Much more than a hip-hop artist, Adelaide’s Gabriel Erjok Akon, a.k.a DyspOra, is forging a path for his own unique brand of ‘sonic activism’ with powerful statements on what it means to be a minority in Australia today.

“When I succeed I am Australian, but when I fail I am African.”

Gabriel Akon, DyspOra

In a new partnership with Bedroom Suck Records and Melbourne’s Music in Exile label, DyspOra’s new EP release is using music as a platform to stand up and be proud of who you are, hoping that your example will bring strength to others, and hoping that we will finally do the simple thing that we are still yet to learn – treat each other as fellow human beings, with love and with kindness.

“There’s a generation of, I call them, ‘Australiens’. They are the ones that want to be Australian, but they get treated like aliens, so they’re somehow on the fringes. They are the biggest potential this country could ever have because of what they could add to this country. All the nation has to do is invest in them. And the investment is so tiny. The investment is literally just accepting them.

I fight for the refugee’s identity. I will stand with the people who need my voice. Having been a refugee previously, I know just how hard that is and what that journey is like.

We have a very important opportunity right now, with a new generation of kids who are growing up: to either empower them to become the change in their lives and the change this country really needs, or we can go the Donald Trump way and ostracise them and see how ugly this gets.

Trust me, as someone who has been through immeasurable amounts of pain and war, the beautiful path is a lot easier to take, and all we have to do is literally embrace these kids.”

Gabriel Akon, DyspOra

DyspOra’s long-awaited debut EP, ‘Australien’ is available for stream now. A deluxe vinyl edition of DyspOra’s debut EP is available for pre-order now and includes a gatefold jacket, lyric sheet & limited edition pink vinyl. You can grab that one here.

CG Fez releases debut single ‘Take 1’

They’ll get shocked when I peek at you” – CG Fez

Western Sydney artist CG Fez has recently released his debut single, ‘Take 1’ after being signed to Hauie Beasts label ‘Forever Ever’.

“What captivated me about [CG Fez] was his wordplay, bars, storytelling, but most importantly, the conviction in which he delivers it all, and his willingness to listen and learn,” – Hau Lakutefu

Here’s what CG Fex had to say about the signing;

“When your dream and life goal correlates, a part of me feels as if the world conspires for it to happen. Music is my love, and to bring a contrast to the world is my goal. So being able to team up with the family at Forever Ever and the crew at Sony only felt right.

“Which leads me to ‘Take 1’. It’s raw and gritty, the same texture we have in our lives out in the west. Which is why I think it’s the perfect kick start to my journey.”

The new track is an absolute grunter, it’s a tasty first single for everyone to sink their teeth into. Teaming up with i.amsolo who mixed, produced and mastered Take 1, is an exciting introduction for hungry rapper ready to take on the scene. Blondieman Releases B.O.A.T featuring Mic Pompei, Flu and Maundz

BLONDIEMAN can be described in many ways… human, blonde, possibly a man. He has been described as ‘the inimitable maestro’ by some. Whichever way you want to go you can’t sleep on his brand new album title B.O.A.T.

Following on from the Blondieman EP relesed late March, B.O.A.T is a cosmic journey through time and space ridding upon the jizz ejaculated from a half man, half dolphin being. The albums crazy artwork created by Bonnita Gillard, sets the scene. We really didn’t need another album cover with a fake plastic wrapping design.

There’s just no denying the level that this project sits upon. Forget trends, forget dickheads, forget artists who like to tongue fuck each others dickholes for triple j plays, this one in straight up in a lane of its own. No one does it like Phil Gektor.

Cop a facial from Blondieman’s latest release B.O.A.T out now.
