It’s been a fun start to the year, I hope you’re enjoying the new tunes. It’s been very restorative dropping songs as I go, with no real outcome in mind but to see where life takes me. I thought I was on a bit of a mission to find myself, but If I’m being completely honest, I figured out that I know exactly who I am and I always have known, “lost” was the wrong word, I’d forgotten myself…

…but I’m remembering!! It has been hard but also amazing. I had to put in a lot of complicated work to figure shit out, but when you strip everything away it’s surprising how simple everything is.

When I envision the best version of myself, what type of person is he? what does his moral compass look like? What principles does he live by? How does he feed/nourish his soul? If I want a fulfilling life, I have to live in alignment with those values, live as authentically as possible in todays climate and lead a life that keeps my soul fulfilled. I was not and I don’t respect myself when for so long. I had to make a lot of changes to the way I operate, now I’m becoming someone I can look in the mirror and say I respect. Figuring that out has been huge. You can be a victim of your circumstance or you can change your perception of said circumstance. Releasing the music the way I have been is teaching me a lot about myself too, I’ve had to slay the people pleaser inside cos it got outta pocket for a while. I let that fool make too many choices for me in the past, not any more.

There’s so much more music on the way, most of the new stuff was written whilst in a dark place, I can’t wait to see where this goes now that I’m remembering who I am.
