Butter X A$AP Ferg X OneFour X Tapastry X Julian Cincotta “Eat It Again”

Ready for the line up of a lifetime?

Well here it is! Before we get into the details, this line up has come together due to a recognition of the need to do more in helping create support systems and new opportunities for kids at risk and kids in the justice system. Particularly those from aboriginal and pacific islander communities, who are over represented in the justice system.

Butter, by way of Executive Chef Julian Cincotta, in collaboration with A$AP Ferg and OneFour have released a new sandwich in line with the recent OneFour track featuring A$AP Ferg – “Say It Again”.

The sandwich, developed by Butter’s Executive Chef, Julian Cincotta (@JulianVCincotta), is the OneFourFerg Burg – Butter’s first crispy fish fillet, with a Japanese boiled-egg and fermented garlic tartar sauce, tomato and lettuce on a steamed milk bun. Believe us, it is so good you will want to eat it again! But more importantly all profits from the sale of the OneFourFerg Burg will be donated by Butter to Tapastry, but more on them below… A little bit about this once in a lifetime line up…

(Keep an ear out for A$AP Ferg’s Butter references in his verse!)

A$AP Ferg – a man that needs very little introduction. Part of the A$AP family and an honorable part of the Butter Sydney Family. A$AP ferg was here in Sydney in early 2020, had a party at Butter and recorded this killer track with OneFour. (@asapferg)

OneFour – the Mt Druitt boys making waves around the world with their version of hip hop. Claiming the title of Australia’s first drill group, OneFour vividly rap about their harsh realities of life on the streets with confronting honesty (@onefour_official)

Tapastry – a Western Sydney based entity, with over a decade of experience designing and facilitates creative youth programs. Their aim is to utilise hip-hop to encourage positive change in the lives of young people in the Justice system and in community, utilising the skills of OneFour creatives to assist with developing workshops for young people. On this, MC Trey from Tapastry says “Historically, there has been significant research and impact evaluation into how hip-hop engages young people and the ability to work through complex issues and facilitate transformative experiences. This initiative will aim to build on this work.” (FB: Tapastry / IG: @treythelma)

This very special sandwich will be available from Tuesday 23 June to Sunday 5 July. This OneFourFerg Burg sandwich with a side of Butter’s famous laces will be going for $22 as dine in or takeaway or $24 via our delivery partners – UberEATS, Deliveroo and Menulog. It will be available from all 3 Butter sites:

Butter Surry Hills, Butter Parramatta and the Butter x Thievery pop up in Glebe – There will be limited numbers available each day, so make sure you get in A$AP! (see what we did there?!?!) BUTTER – IT – FORWARD

Mitchos Da Menace Releases The Visuals For Dxckheads

Have been consistently hitting out head turning music, Mitchos Da Menace returns withhis highly anticipated album ‘Pray For Them’ alongside visuals for ‘Dxckheads’.

Coming in like a mission statement, Mitchos’ new album is a personal journey, highlighting domestic violence, trust, abuse and toxic relationships. Tackling the game head on by carving out his very own sound, the album features Kerser and vocals supplied by LDS, Joanna Turner and Jacqueline Maree.

Taking you straight into the emotions, ’Still No Trust’ is the second track that Kerser and Mitchos have collaborated on, heavy-hitting and emotionally captivating, the track is about having friends and the harsh reality that they might have their own intentions of sticking around. ‘Dxckheads’ flips the script and turns into a Drill track, calling out all the phoney rappers, to the smooth ‘No Good For You,’ a track about love and toxic relationships.

The album means heaps to me as it’s my thoughts and my life into lyrics and music. Half the album is very personal & deep and other is the rough shit that needs to be said,”

Mitchos Da Menace

2020 will be his most groundbreaking year to date, as this album further cements his name into the industry as a constantly evolving artist.

Stepping in from Sydney’s West, Mitchos Da Menace reels you in to his records with his accounts of life, dreams and hustles with his rhythmic flows. His lyrical finesse and seasoned flow mixed with his rapping ability has become unquestionable. Menace has developed into one of the only artists who can lay claim to having collaborated with a largely who’s who of hip hop artists in Australia over the last few years including Nter, Flowz, Alex Jones, Triple One, Young Buck (G Unit)  and many more.

Perth-based rap artist Black Napoleon returns with new single ‘Pack’ out now!

“The best advice I have received towards music is to have fun with it, and to never lose that fun at any stage in your career.” – Black Napoleon

Perth-based rap artist Black Napoleon is back with his first official release of 2020, the new single ‘Pack’ is out now and available on all platforms. This smooth new track is hinged on Napoleon’s desire to “come back to the scene and just make good music again”.

With production by way of Chris Rich Beats, the drill filled record provides an eerie atmosphere in which enigmatic production is complimented by Napoleon’s progressive and drill-based flows.

Growing up in the era of the rise of notable MC’s like Jay-Z, and Kanye West, Black Napoleon has had his musical influence established in the roots of Hip-Hop culture itself. Napoleon’s drill-based style is a mix of these hallmarks of the Rap Industry and drill-based rappers such as Harlem Spartans, and OFB in addition to the Australian acts such as OneFour.

No stranger to running up numbers, Black Napoleon has accumulated over half a million streams on past releases under collaborative project “K9INES” and has gained nods from publications across the globe.

With ‘Pack’ being the first of many releases scheduled this year, make sure to follow his socials for more updates and stay tuned for the follow-up releases on the way!

CG Fez releases debut single ‘Take 1’

They’ll get shocked when I peek at you” – CG Fez

Western Sydney artist CG Fez has recently released his debut single, ‘Take 1’ after being signed to Hauie Beasts label ‘Forever Ever’.

“What captivated me about [CG Fez] was his wordplay, bars, storytelling, but most importantly, the conviction in which he delivers it all, and his willingness to listen and learn,” – Hau Lakutefu

Here’s what CG Fex had to say about the signing;

“When your dream and life goal correlates, a part of me feels as if the world conspires for it to happen. Music is my love, and to bring a contrast to the world is my goal. So being able to team up with the family at Forever Ever and the crew at Sony only felt right.

“Which leads me to ‘Take 1’. It’s raw and gritty, the same texture we have in our lives out in the west. Which is why I think it’s the perfect kick start to my journey.”

The new track is an absolute grunter, it’s a tasty first single for everyone to sink their teeth into. Teaming up with i.amsolo who mixed, produced and mastered Take 1, is an exciting introduction for hungry rapper ready to take on the scene. Peep the visuals above which features some cameos from ONEFOUR. We can’t wait to see the next steps from CG Fez, he has quite the team behind him and a talent that will push him far.
