Not only is rapper Eminem the first hip hop artist to headline a concert at the MCG, he has also set the record for the most tickets sold at the venue for a single show.
Eminem sold a remarkable 80,708 tickets for his Melbourne concert on Sunday night.
That beat the venue record set by the Sound Relief charity concert a decade ago, which featured Midnight Oil, Split Enz, Kings of Leon, Kylie Minogue and Paul Kelly, and sold 80,518 tickets. #Repost @talbotwellness with @get_repost

Kwame Takes CLOUDS On Tour ☁️

Following a HUGE break out year, don’t miss the chance to see 2018 triple j Unearthed artist of the year, Kwame at his first headline shows for 2019 – on the ‘CLOUDS.’ single tour. Recently announced to play global tastemaker festival SXSW, Kwame has a huge year ahead of him.Gaining a reputation for his charismatic performances, each explosive live show will be full of surprises.

The Western Sydney producer, writer, rapper and engineer’s success has appeared to be limitless in 2018. Singles ‘WOW’ and ‘NO TIME’ have now clocked over 5 million streams between them – all receiving triple j rotation. Plus latest offering ‘CLOUDS’ was premiered with Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1.

Following a suite of festival performances in 2018 including Splendour in the Grass, Bay Dreams (NZ) and triple j’s One Night Stand; Kwame also supported heavyweights Skepta, Migos, 6LACK, Peking Duk, Vera Blue, Tkay Maidza and AJ Tracey. Now he heads out on a very special run of intimate headline shows. With extra shows announced and the entire tour poised to sell out, venues will be dripping with hype.

As Kwame says in ‘CLOUDS.’, he “can never stop” and penned the catchy chorus with live shows in mind. “I cannot wait to see people scream when I play it at shows because the meaning behind the line is the goodness and rare qualities that we possess as individuals than can’t be seen at surface appearance. We need to realise the power we all hold – we’re headed for the clouds, it’s only up from here.”

ChillinIT Releases Who I Am/The Parkway Parts 1 & 2

ChillinIT wastes no time in 2019 by dropping Who I Am/The Parkway Parts 1 & 2. This follows on from his recent announcement of his upcoming national tour, and what has been touted as one of the top film clips of 2018 in Wish You Well Pt. 2.

Debuting on his YouTube channel, part 1 of Who I Am/The Parkway dropped Tuesday night featuring production from Syndrome Beats. ChillinIT had this to say about the new track.

“This one is for the family, for my smokers, for the people who are chasing good vibes and good energy, keep your heads up and make it your year. I put this together for the family…”

ChillinIT is an artist not afraid to push the limits of his style, challenging not only himself but also his listeners as he takes his style global. We’ve already seen him make waves in numerous videos including his appearance last year on JDZ Media. To keep his bar hungry fans fed, Part 2 followed last night. This one was all about the wordplay.
