NEW ARTIST SIGNING – KOBIE DEE WITH NEW SINGLE – “JODY”




Today, upcoming Gamilaroi artist Kobie Dee shares his latest track, “Jody”. As one of the most exciting new voices emerging in the Australian hip hop scene, today’s release arrives alongside the news that Kobie joins the nation’s leading label for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, Bad Apples Music. 

At just 21-years-old, Kobie Dee has an innate gift for story-telling and connecting with young people, and in “Jody” he delivers yet another powerful track. Pairing fiercely tight rhymes with a natural flow, the MC’s raw, honest and effortless lyrical talent is strikingly captivating. Guided by a strong but gentle beat, “Jody” puts the singer/songwriter under his own spotlight, drawing the nation’s attention to the Bad Apples signee as an undisputed rising star. A career highlight to date, Kobie stepped into the booth for triple j’s Bars Of Steel, which not only inspired the track itself but also saw a surge of support from the industry and fans alike as it became one of the most successful episodes to date, with over 320k views and counting.
